Welcome to La Molina Ski Resort
Skiing in Spain? Yup, it’s a thing. And it’s definitely one to add to the wishlist. La Molina is found in the Catalan Pyrenees in northeastern Spain and was one of the venues for the 2011 Alpine Skiing World Cup. It might be one of the oldest ski resorts in Spain – it installed its first commercial ski lift way back in 1943 – but it’s anything but stuck in the past.
La Molina itself sits at 1700m and boasts an impressive 68 km of ski runs – the lifts go all the way up to altitudes of 2445m! But along with Masella, La Molina makes up part of the Alp 2500 Ski Domain. Together their combined ski area is a whopping 121 km – ideal for new and seasoned snow worshippers.
The two resorts are well connected with a high-speed six-seater chairlift that covers a distance of 3.8 km and has a capacity of 3,000 skiers per hour. Beginners, intermediates and terrain park enthusiasts will lap up this ski area. It’s got the largest super pipe in the Pyrenees!
